Gloria Lynnette Ducker

CHICAGO – Services for Gloria Lynnette Ducker of Chicago, who died Sunday, Sept. 12, 1999, in Chicago, will be at 11 a.m. today at Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home.

Burial will be at Wunders Cemetery in Chicago under the direction of Smith-Corcoran Funeral Home. Visitation is from 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Ducker was born June 5, 1949, in Natchez, the daughter of Annie Poindexter.

Ducker was preceded in death by her mother; grandparents, Beatrice and Ollie Poindexter; an aunt, Arlene Poindexter.

Survivors include aunts and uncles, Charles and Barbara Poindexter of Chicago, Betty and Billy Ray Aldridge and Wanzie Poindexter of Natchez, Gussie, Albert, Earl and Pud Poindexter of Natchez; cousins, the Poindexters of Chicago and the Aldridge and Poindexter families of Natchez.

The family request memorials be made to Hospice of St. Joseph Hospital, 2900 N. Lake Shore Drive, Chicago, Ill. 60657.

Homer L. Trevillion Jr.

Aug. 25, 1931 – Sept. 12, 1999

FERRIDAY, La. – Services for Homer L. Trevillion Jr., 68, of Vidalia, who died Sunday, Sept. 12, 1999, in New Orleans, will be at 10 a.m. today at Comer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Mack Walker, the Rev. David Strebeck and the Rev. Corky Evans officiating.

Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Natchez with full Masonic graveside rites, under the direction of Comer Funeral Home.

Mr. Trevillion was born Aug. 25, 1931, in Waterproof, the son of H.L. Trevillion Sr. and Bertha Glover Trevillion. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the Air Force. He was a supervisor from International Paper Co., having been employed there for 46 years. He was a member of Lake St. John Community Baptist Church where he served on the Board of Directors, the Concordia Masonic Lodge No. 305 of Vidalia and the Scottish Rite of Free Masonry of Monroe. He was a hunter education instructor, NRA certified instructor, a National Bow Hunter Foundation Instructor, a concealed hand gun instructor and a national muzzle loader instructor. He was a resident of Concordia Parish since 1954.

Mr. Trevillion was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda J. Trevillion of Vidalia; a son, Michael L. Trevillion of Vidalia; a daughter, Karen Trevillion of Ferriday; three sisters, Irene Lee of Pineville, Lily Black of Jena and Ruby Wallette Foil of Greenwell Springs.

Pallbearers will be Emmett Keating, Ben Duncan, Arthur Buford, Ben Wynn, Lloyd Posey and Kevin Barnes. Honorary pallbearers will be E.T. Elliot, Ed Bringol, William Trevillion, Anon Trevillion, Willie Pearson and Dr. Huey Moak.

Eudie Smith Cubit

July 1, 1909 – Sept. 12, 1999

BROOKHAVEN – Services for Eudie Smith Cubit, 90, of Brookhaven, who died Sunday, Sept. 12, 1999, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Tyler Chapel.

Burial will be at Carver Heights Cemetery in Brookhaven under the direction of Tyler Funeral Home. Visitation is from noon until 7 p.m. with a wake from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Cubit was born July 1, 1909, to Anderson Smith and Adrianna Smith.

She was a homemaker and a member of Second Baptist Church of Brookhaven.

Mrs. Cubit was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Russell Cubit.

Survivors include two sons, Leander Cubit of White Plains, N.Y., and Ernest Cubit of Natchez; one sister, Augusteen Pierce of Fayette; five grandchildren, Leander Cubit Jr., Deborah Cubit, Cynthia Owonka, all of San Diego, Calif., Thomas Chisum of Miama and Ernest William Cubit of Houston, Texas.

Lydia Mae Buckles

Feb. 16, 1911 – Sept. 14, 1999

Services for Lydia Mae Buckles, 88, Natchez, who died Tuesday, Sept. 14, 1999, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Laird Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Johnson and the Rev. Steve Purvis officiating.

Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Park under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Buckles was born Feb. 16, 1911 in Dyersburg, Tenn., the daughter of John and Callie Brumley. She was a member of the Pine Ridge Baptist Church.

Mrs. Buckles was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Buckles; son, John E. Buckles; and grandson, Roger Wayne Ford.

Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, James and Verda Buckles, Donald and Norma Gene Buckles of Baton Rouge, La. and Aubrey L. and Elsie Buckles, Bennie E. and Bobby Buckles of Natchez; three daughters and sons-in-law, Eula Lee and L.C. Allen of Natchez, Alice Fairbanks of Kilgore, Texas, Doris and Chester Tarver of Ferriday, La.; 31 grandchildren; and a number of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Lanaika Williams

June 10, 1990 – Sept. 12, 1999

MEADVILLE- Services for Lanaika Williams, 9, of Meadville, who died Sunday, Sept. 12, 1999, at Franklin County Hospital, will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at Emmanuel Full Gospel Church.

Burial will be at Hunt Cemetery in Kirby under the direction of R.E. Tyler Funeral Home. Friends and family hour will be from 6 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Lanaika was born June 10, 1990, in Brookhaven, the daughter of Andrew Williams and Minnie Lee Hunt Williams.

Survivors include her mother and father, Andrew Williams and Minnie Lee Hunt Williams; four brothers, Andrew Williams Jr., Abren Williams, Antorion Williams of Meadville and Nicholas Williams of Calif.; and two sisters, Arica Williams and Ashley Williams of Meadville.
