British roadsters come rolling through Natchez
Published 12:00am Monday, July 7, 2008NATCHEZ — Six classic British roadsters rolled into Natchez Sunday as part of a six-week trip across the United States.
The group of Englishmen, led by Geoff Clark, had their Morgan sports cars shipped to Newark, N.J., and have been traveling through Pennsylvania Amish country, down the Blue Ridge Parkway, and finally through Mississippi and Natchez. While in Natchez the group stayed at Monmouth Plantation before continuing on to New Orleans where they will have their cars shipped back to England.
Clark said the group has spent the past two years planning the trip, which has required a lot of hard work and expense.
“The safety of the cars has been the most important thing,” Clark said.
Clark said that the group enjoyed their stay in Natchez and were excited about the trip.
“It’s a once in a lifetime,” he said. “It’s a one off.”
