NATCHEZ — Services for Jamie Tranell Lewis, 13, of Natchez, who died Thursday, March 12, 2009, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Pilgrim Baptist Church.
Burial will follow at Pine Hill Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Marshall Funeral Home in Bude.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time Wednesday at the church.
Jamie was born Oct. 20, 1995, in Baton Rouge, the daughter of Richard and Margaret Lewis. She was a member of the Lady Damus Dance Group at Robert Lewis Middle School.
She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Albert and Cathlean Evans.
Survivors include her loving adoptive parents, Richard and Margaret Lewis; biological parents, James F. Evans Sr. and Veronica Williams; grandfather, James E. Evans; great-grandmother, Eugene Howard; two brothers, Bobby R. Evans and James F. Evans Jr.; five sisters, Gladys Y. Lewis, JoQuanna Williams, Laurel Whirl, Ezantiyell Williams and Veronica K. Williams; godfather, Larry Hooper; 10 great-aunts; four great-uncles; three best friends, Darvontres Harrison, Rickeita Washington and Devoncia Hammett; and a number of other relatives and friends.
