Byrne, 78, of Natchez, who passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2009, at Natchez Regional Medical Center surrounded by her family, will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Mary Basilica with the Rev. Leopold and the Rev. Camp officiating.
Burial will follow at Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time today at the church.
Mrs. Byrne was born Dec. 13, 1930, in Crystal Springs and was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.
She was preceded in death by her son, Mike Byrne and parents, J.P. and Mary Clower, all of Natchez.
Survivors include her loving husband of 56 years, Donald Byrne Sr.; six children, Susan Byrne of Houston, Texas, Jane Byrne of Baton Rouge, Peggy Byrne of Lafayette, La., Shirley Byrne and Joseph Byrne, both of Natchez, and Donald Byrne Jr. and wife, Renee, of Senatobia; one daughter-in-law, Anna Byrne of Natchez; two sisters, Judith Burt of Black Mountain, N.C. and Kathleen Pias of Lake Charles, La.; two brothers, Dan Clower of Pineville, La. and Ken Clower of Rayville, La.; five grandchildren, Jeanette, Michael, Eric, Kaitlyn and Rebecca; three great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
