David J. Ford and Keilah Y. Baker

Keilah Y. Baker and David J. Ford of Natchez were married in Mobile, Ala., Thursday, March 17, 2011, at 1 p.m. in the Romeo and Juliet Room aboard the Carnival Cruse Ship Elation.

Escorted by her father, the bride was given in marriage by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jimmie B. Baker Sr.

Parents of the groom, Mr. and Mrs. Bobby E. Ford, walked together down the aisle during the processional.

Jilinda A. Baker, sister, to the bride, served as maid of honor.

Jarrod Ford and Timothy Sylvester, cousins to the groom, served as best men.

Davion H. Ford, the couple’s son, served as ring bearer.

Other immediate family members in attendance wore the wedding colors, Rivera sky blue, chocolate and ivory.

A reception was held immediately following the ceremony in the Jekyll and Hyde room of the ship. A small group of close friends and family members were among the well-wishers for the ceremony and reception. After the reception, the couple, joined by the immediate family members in attendance, set sail for a honeymoon cruise to Cozumel, Mexico.

The couple will live in Baton Rouge.
