Pilgrimage Garden Club announces pageant court

NATCHEZ — The Pilgrimage Garden Club has announced the 2012 royal court for the Historic Natchez Tableaux. The pages, miads and generals in the royal court will serve the Pilgrimage Garden Club’s king and queen during their reign in the upcoming Spring Pilgrimage.

The court is as follows:

Parker Claire Maxwell

Maxwell is the daughter of Christopher and Emily Maxwell and the granddaughter of George and Lorra Maxwell of Natchez, Steve and Liza Plauche of Natchez and the late Susan Plauche of Natchez.

She is a kindergarten student at Cathedral Elementary School.

Maxwell enjoys ballet, music, swimming and horseback riding. Her previous pageant participation includes Little Maypole.

Sarah Katherine Cauthen

Cauthen is the daughter of David and Gina Cauthen and the granddaughter of Dick and Pat Junkin of Natchez, Bobby Cauthen of Natchez, and the late Pam Cauthen of Natchez.

She is a kindergarten student at Cathedral Elementary School.

Cauthen enjoys gymnastics, swimming, and spending time with family and friends. She attends St. Mary Basilica. Her previous pageant participation includes Little Maypole.

Graci Jayne Gamberi

Gamberi is the daughter of Jay and Amy Gamberi and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Delaney of Natchez and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gamberi of Natchez.

She is a kindergarten student at Cathedral Elementary School.

Gamberi enjoys ballet, gymnastics, swimming, and Cathedral and Louisiana State University football. She is a member of St. Mary Basilica, member of Mike’s Kids’ Club at LSU and a student of Natchez Ballet Academy. Graci was chosen as Cathedral’s homecoming mascot in 2011. Her previous pageant participation includes Little Maypole, Picnic, Showboat and The Hunt.

Ramsey Clark Armstrong

Armstrong is the son of Tricia and George W. Armstrong IV and the granddaughter of Thomas and Patsy Armstrong of Natchez.

He is a kindergarten student at Cathedral Elementary School.

Ramsey enjoys karate, T-ball, fishing, swimming, tubing, playing X-Box, riding horses and playing with his goats, dogs, chickens, and rabbits. His previous pageant participation includes Little Maypole.

Lauren Mae Smith

Smith is the daughter of D.D. and Melanie Smith and the granddaughter of Mrs. Lottie M. Smith and the late Mr. Seth Smith of Natchez, Mr. and Mrs. Bill Bryant and Mr. Ted F. Preddy of Shreveport, La.

She is a 2009 graduate of Cathedral High School and is currently attending University of Mississippi where she is majoring in chemistry. She is a member of the Kappa Delta Sorority, Feed the Hungry and the committee to elect Ms. Ole Miss.

Smith enjoys shopping, traveling, music and attending concerts, hanging out in The Grove at Ole Miss during football season and spending time with family and friends. Her previous pageant participation includes Little Maypole, Big Maypole, Picnic, Showboat, a junior bridesmaid and bride in the Wedding of Jefferson Davis and The Polka.

Elizabeth Page Blackwell

Blackwell is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary J. Blackwell and the granddaughter of Mrs. Scott P. Byrne and the late Scott P. Byrne, the late Lewis Blackwell and the late Alice H. Burkley, all of Natchez.

She is a 2009 graduate of Cathedral High School and is currently attending Mississippi State University, where she is majoring in nursing. She is a member of the Delta Gamma Sorority, Service for Sight through DG and a member of Sigma Alpha Lambda honors organization.

Blackwell enjoys shopping, reading, going to the beach and being with family and friends. Her previous pageant participation includes Little Maypole, Big Maypole, a flower girl, junior bridesmaid, a bridesmaid in the Wedding of Jefferson Davis and The Polka.

Mary Catherine Iles

Iles is the daughter of Simmons Huber and Geoff Iles of Natchez, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Betty Iles and the late Dr. Jerry Iles of Natchez and Mr. and Mrs. A.M. Williams III of West Monroe, La.

She is a 2009 graduate of Trinity Episcopal School and is currently attending Louisiana State University, where she is majoring in political communication with a minor in history. Mary Catherine is on the Dean’s List for academic achievement and is a member of the LSU Service-Learning Student Advisory Council. She is also a member of the Academic Excellence and Homecoming Committees. Being an active member in Kappa Delta sorority, MC is captain of the intramural softball team and the SoleSisters Half Marathon Team. In addition, she serves on the KD SoleSupport public relations team to raise money for Girls on the Run.

Iles enjoys running, participating in intramurals, attending LSU football and baseball games and traveling. Her previous pageant participation includes Little Maypole, Big Maypole, Picnic, and The Polka.

Anne Elise Rinehart

Rinehart is the daughter of John and Pricilla Dale and Michael and Cheryl Rinehart of Natchez and the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gene Stout of Baton Rouge and Mrs. Earline Rinehart of Natchez and the late Mr. Loyd Rinehart.

She is a 2009 graduate of Cathedral High School and is currently attending Louisiana State University, where she is majoring in kinesiology/pre-nursing. She is a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority, Student Government (Election Board and Students on Target) and the Tiger Athletic Foundation. She is also a member of Jefferson Street United Methodist Church.

Rinehart enjoys running, hunting, spending time with family and friends, boating with her father and being a member of Tri Delta. Her previous pageant participation includes Little Maypole, Big Maypole, Placard Bearer, Can-Can, Soiree, dancing Soiree and Soiree Sweetheart and a 1998 Page to the King and Queen.

Rebecca Gene Seale

Seale is the daughter of Jasper and Denise Seale and the granddaughter of Dr. Joe and Peggie Herrington of Natchez and Mr. and Mrs. Willard Seale of McComb.

She is a 2009 graduate of Adams County Christian School and is currently attending University of Mississippi, where she is majoring in kinesiology. She is a member of Delta Delta Delta sorority, a leadership Scholar, a member of the Kinesiology Club and a resident assistant for the Delta Delta Delta house.

Seale enjoys spending time with family and friends and being involved with sorority activities. Her previous pageant participation includes Little Maypole, Big Maypole, Picnic, Polka Favor Girl in the Polka, Can-Can, Soiree and the Soiree Sweetheart.

Steven Barlow Scarborough

Scarborough is the son of Jan Davis Scarborough and Bruce Scarborough of Natchez and the grandson of Joe and Grace Scarborough of Byram and the late Charles and Virginia Estess of Jackson.

Scarborough is a 2011 graduate of Cathedral High School and is currently attending Mississippi State University. At Cathedral, he was voted “wittiest.” He earned All-State first team Class A golf, second place state medalist and most valuable player in golf all four years. At MSU, he is active in the Kappa Alpha fraternity.

Scarborough enjoys golf, reading, tailgating, MSU athletics and hanging out with his friends. His previous pageant participation includes Little Maypole, Big Maypole, Fisher Boy, Virginia Reel, dancing Soiree and Soiree Sweetheart and a 2001 Page to the King and Queen.

Harrison Lambdin Burns

Burns is the son of Paul and Laura Burns of Natchez and the grandson of Therese Burns and the late Peter Burns and Bethany and Jim Overton, all of Natchez.

He is a 2009 graduate of Cathedral High School and is currently attending the University of Alabama, majoring in chemical engineering. He is a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity, Phi Eta Sigma honor society, Golden Key honor society, University of Alabama’s Honors College, American Institute of Chemical Engineers and of the Cooperative Student of Shaw Industries.

Burns enjoys soccer, hunting, and watching Alabama and New Orleans Saints football. His previous pageant participation includes Little Maypole, Big Maypole, Raising of the Flag, Picnic, dancing Soiree and Soiree Sweetheart, The Showboat, The Polka and The Wedding. Tyler Joseph Morrison

Morrison is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Timothy James Morrison of Natchez and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Morrison of Centre, Ala., and Mrs. Kathryn Tidwell and the Mrs. Jessie R. Tidwell of Dothan, Ala.

He is a 2011 graduate of Cathedral High School and is currently attending University of Alabama, majoring in Chemistry. At Cathedral, Tyler was voted into the Hall of Fame and was selected as Most Versatile. He served as the class president for three years and maintaining an “A” average all four years of high school. He also was a member of the National Honor Society, Retreat Team,and the Student Council.

Tyler lettered in basketball for one year and baseball for three years. He was named to the Class 1-A All-State Baseball Team, was named to The Natchez Democrat All-Metro Baseball Team and was selected as Cathedral’s Wendy’s High School Heisman winner. Tyler was the recipient of Cathedral’s George Junkin Memorial Scholarship. At the University of Alabama, he is a member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity and a member of the Alabama Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution. He attends St. Mary Basilica.

Morrison enjoys fishing and Alabama football. His previous pageant participation includes Little Maypole, Big Maypole, Picnic and dancing Soiree.

Daniel Chad Jenkins

Jenkins is the son of Kevin and Cindy Jenkins of Natchez and the grandson of Henry and Jean Ann Jenkins of Woodville, Betty Dossett of Natchez, Bertha Jones and the late Boyd Ray Jones of Monterey.

He is a 2009 graduate of Cathedral High School and is currently attending Copiah Lincoln Community College, majoring in landscape architecture.

Jenkins enjoys hunting, fishing, and LSU football. He does not have any past pageant participation.

Samuel Stowers Mohon

Mohon is the son of Anne B. Stowers, the late Gene A. Radzewicz, Samuel M. Mohon III and Esther Mohon and the grandson of Mrs. Luther A. Stowers, the late Luther A. Stowers and Mrs. S.M. Mohon Jr., all of Natchez.

He is a 2009 graduate of Cathedral High School and is currently attending Copiah-Lincoln Community College, majoring in communications. He is the Roy Garcia award winner, is a member of Boy Scouts, is a Blood Donor, was a member of the Spanish Club, was named 2008 football defensive player of the year, was basketball team captain, 2008 football all-metro 1st team and winner of the 2007 WNAT Defensive Award.

Mohon enjoys playing guitar, fishing and hunting. His previous pageant participation includes Maypole, Picnic, The Wedding, The Polka, dancing Soiree, The Indian and the Running of the Flag.
