NATCHEZ — Whether it was because of rain falling or concerns about traveling in bad weather, some local and area high school baseball and softball teams decided to cancel their games Tuesday.

Vidalia’s baseball team was scheduled to host Avoyelles High School while Vidalia’s softball team was to host Jena in LHSAA District 3-3A action Tuesday afternoon.

No make-up date for those games have been announced at this time.

Franklin County was scheduled to play at McComb Tuesday afternoon, but heavy rain earlier in the afternoon led to unplayable field conditions and the JV and varsity games were rained out.
