Ben Hillyer/The Natchez Democrat — Did Sara say yes? Drivers along Liberty Road didn’t have a clue, but many didn’t miss the spray-painted marriage proposal Monday afternoon on the side of the road embankment about a mile south of the old Johns-Manville plant in Natchez. If you know Sara’s answer to this painted proposition, call The Natchez Democrat at 601-445-3551 to help us solve this marriage mystery with a happy ending.

Um, congratulations, I guess. Maybe I’m just not current on the contemporary etiquette of marriage proposals, but somehow spraying one’s proposal on roadside dirt doesn’t scream romance.

I think it was very sweet.  I’m glad for him that she said yes.

Graffiti?  It was painted on dirt, not anything valuable.  It brought a big smile to my face when I saw it.
