NATCHEZ — Services for Erica LaShae “Bookie” Grover-Holt, 28, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, May 16, 2012, in Natchez, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the Natchez Convention Center, Main Street entrance, with the Rev. John Sullivan officiating.

Burial will follow at Cedar Rest Cemetery No. 2, in Woodville, under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Holt was born Nov. 10, 1983, in Natchez, the daughter of Aaron and Joann Ford Grover.

She enjoyed shopping, cooking and most of all spending time with her kids and family.

Erica was preceded in death by her father; her husband, Daniel Holt; grandparents, Ethel Grover, Louvenia and Jessie Ford; two uncles, Charles and John Ford; and one aunt, Leetta Ford-Haney.

Survivors include three children, J’Darrius, JaKayla and Jaleaha Holt; her mother; grandfather, Aaron Shelby; three sisters, Jessica “Nell” Jarvis, Angela “Angie” Grover-Bellows and husband, Loney, and Stephanie “Nook” Armsted; and nine nieces and nephews, Clar’Neysia, A’sha, MaKayelah, Simayah, Isaiah, Clarence, Aaron, I’Yanna and Darri’yon.

      Please accept my deepest condolences and know that God loves you and can restore your spirits, give you peace, and strengthen you.  In the toughest times our faith is tested most. I pray that you will come out of this with an even stronger faith and hope in the power of God.   It’s difficult to see the purpose of death in this world. The only way to accept it is by faith. I am praying that you receive the faith you need. Even though we can’t see a reason for what has happened, we can have faith that there is a reason in His plan.
