Natchez Municipal Court Cases

Wednesday, May 30:

Shawanda Bacon, 37, charged with simple assault. Case remanded to files for one year and dismissed as a state case.

Shahna Nichelle Furey, 43, pleaded guilty to simple assault — domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $644. Fuery also charged with false identification. Case remanded to files subject to other plea.

Kedric Smith, 22, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace — domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $444. Smith charged with disorderly conduct — failure to comply with officer. Case dismissed.

Byron R. O’Quinn, 32, pleaded guilty to disturbing the peace — domestic violence. Sentenced to 30 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $444.

Jimmy Lee Watkins, 24, pleaded guilty to failure to yield to blue lights. Fine set at $170.
