FAYETTE — Historic plantation Prospect Hill will be open for tours starting at 11 a.m. today.

Visitors are invited to come and go as they please; there will be no formal tours.

Picnics are encouraged, and tents, tables and chairs will be set up.

At 1:30 p.m., Tate Moore of The Kudzu Kings band will play music.

Admission is free.

Prospect Hill is a historic property, about 15 minutes east of Lorman, a 45-minute drive from Natchez, about 20 minutes from Port Gibson and approximately an hour and a half from Jackson.
