New CEO named at Natchez Community Hospital

NATCHEZ — Natchez Community Hospital has hired a new chief executive officer.

Eric Robinson, who has been serving as the hospital’s interim CEO in recent months, has assumed the permanent position, according to a press release from Health Management Associates.

Robinson was most recently the chief operating officer of Biloxi Regional Medical Center.

“I am very excited about the future of Natchez Community Hospital,” Robinson said. “This is a great opportunity, and I look forward to working with the talented physicians, staff and volunteers that are already so dedicated to this community and this hospital.

“My family is really looking forward to moving to Natchez — this area has so much to offer.”

Robinson received his undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg.

He went on to receive a master of business administration degree and a master of health administration degree from the University of Alabama, in Birmingham.

While with Biloxi Regional Medical Center, Robinson was actively involved in physician recruitment, facility renovation and bringing in new state-of-the-art technologies.

Robinson graduated from Northeast Jones High School in Laurel, where his parents, Trish and Mike Morgan, still live.

Eric and his wife Jenny, from Hammond, La., have been married eight years and have three young sons.
