Paisano’s open despite rumors, but up for sale

NATCHEZ — The owner of Paisano’s Italian Grotto said the restaurant is not closing despite rumors many people may have heard, but he said the restaurant is up for sale.depends

Owner Charles Johnson said he put the restaurant up for sale about three months ago and currently has three interested buyers.

Johnson said one of the buyers wants to keep the restaurant operating as Paisano’s, another wants to create a Mexican and pizza restaurant and the third a Cajun restaurant.

Johnson said Paisano’s will not close until a purchase is finalized. He said if the restaurant remains Paisano’s, he does not believe the restaurant will close during the ownership transition.

    they just did not quite have the hang of it…..food was just ok it’s really too bad because it could have been great!

    I think the pizza is pretty good. I think the place needs a good business/marketing plan, a facelift, and a dedicated young working staff and it will flourish.

    Our family has eaten there several times. We always found the service to be attentive, friendly and the food very good. I am disappointed to see
    the current owners leaving, probably moving back to California.  I wish them the best. They deserve it.
