Escorted by her father, the bride wore her mother’s wedding gown from 1972, slightly modified. The ivory bridal satin column gown was trimmed with fleur de lis-inspired, gold re-embroidered lace accented with antique pearls and iridescent sequins. The detachable train and custom-made, one-tier, waltz-length veil were edged with matching lace. She wore her great-grandmother’s locket that had been a gift from her father and carried a hand-tied nosegay of white High and Pure Roses, Gardenias, Mini Calla Lilies and Star of Bethlehem.

Bridesmaids wore pomegranate, full-length, duchess satin V-neck dresses with side-draped bodice and skirt and carried nosegays made with varying shades of red roses.

Groomsmen wore black two-button jacket tuxedos with a satin notched lapel, black paisley long tie with matching vest accented with red pocket squares.

Acadiana Symphony Orchestra’s string trio with flautist provided ceremonial music along with the church organist/pianist.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette.

Prior to the wedding, a bridal luncheon was held at Jolie’s Louisiana Bistro and rehearsal dinner was hosted at Mazen’s Grill. Swamp tours at McGee’s Landing and an informal celebration/Fais Do-Do at Pont Breaux’s Restaurant (formerly Mulate’s) with entertainment provided by Jamie Bergeron & the Kickin’ Cajuns occurred the day following the wedding. Completing the weekend, Sunday brunch took place at Blue Dog Café followed by Cajun/Zydeco dancing at Angelle’s Whiskey River Landing.

After returning from their honeymoon to St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands, the couple will reside in Lafayette.
