It’s time to rethink election process

I read Kevin Cooper’s opinion piece in the Sunday newspaper on election insanity. I thoroughly agree. The system is broken, corrupt and dysfunctional.

As a result, I am no longer engaged. My frustration is shared by many Americans. It is time to rethink our election processes. The brightest and best candidates are unable to politic their way to the top.

It’s an American tragedy. Our nation deserves better!

Keep up the great job at The Democrat.

    You are so right, because many vote for reason other than electing the best one for the.job. Kith, kin and the color of skin, can really mess things up.  But I’m baffled by your engagement and what it had to do with politics.  I’m sorry if it made you unhappy, but if the partnership was dissolved because of politics, then maybe you are better off before it went any further.
