VIDALIA — Services for Snetville “Jone” Polk Jr., 67, of Vidalia, who died Tuesday, June 19, 2012, at Select Specialty Hospital in Jackson, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Baptist Church in Vidalia.
Burial will follow at the Vidalia Cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the church.
Mr. Polk was born Nov. 8, 1944, in Ferriday, the son of Snetville and Catherine Carr Polk. He was a millwright.
Mr. Polk was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Gill Polk.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita Lewis Polk; one son, Snetville “Lil June” Polk III, of Vidalia; two daughters, Shem Brown and husband, Troy, of Terry and Shawn Swanier and husband, Virgil, of Gardena, Calif.; two brothers, Murphy Carr and Raephel Polk; three sisters, Doris Flaherty, Peggy Cain and Beverly Warner; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; one aunt, Eloise Foster; and one uncle, Lethel Polk.
