Ferriday native reportedly kills former FHS basketball player in Baton Rouge

BATON ROUGE — A Ferriday native and former Trojan basketball standout was allegedly stabbed to death by his girlfriend, who is also a Ferriday native, at their apartment in Baton Rouge early Sunday after an argument.

Katina Carter, 29, allegedly stabbed Ladrian Davis, 26, in the chest with a knife at 1 a.m. outside their apartment on Wentling Avenue in the southeast part of East Baton Rouge, Baton Rouge Police Department Cpl. Tommy Stubbs said.

The stabbing stemmed from an argument the couple had earlier that evening.

Carter was taken into custody and booked into the East Baton Rouge Parish Prison on second-degree murder charges.

Davis was a former Ferriday High School student and athlete, often frequenting the school’s basketball team as a starting guard.

    Jeeezzzzzeeeee!!! Ferriday makes the news again and it’s negative news. That is all that comes from that town and I don’t see it getting any better.

    Yep!!! Just the reason Glen threw up his hands and went back to Vidalia to work. Vidalia appreciates his work while Ferriday spat on him. Well….they got their favorite person back……let’s just wait and see……..

    If you don’t like something put on that white tee, say something Oedipal, say their mother runs out from under the house and bites people, that their parents weren’t married, pull those ugly jeans down to show those red girly underwear, then stab them, then shoot them with that 9mm sideways. That is the only way to settle an argument.
    Monkeys scream at each other then come to blows but these apes have not even evolved to that standard. Anyone ever listen to Rev. James David Manning?
