Tensas man arrested for rape in Vidalia

VIDALIA — A St. Joseph man is behind bars Wednesday after being arrested on a warrant for allegedly raping a Vidalia 19-year-old in July.

Thomas Lee Clark Jr., 20, 329 Levee St., St. Joseph, was arrested Tuesday by Tensas Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies on a charge of aggravated rape.

The Vidalia Police Department issued a warrant for his arrest after investigating the incident, which occurred at approximately 3 a.m. on July 19, Investigator Renda Singleton said.

Singleton said the investigation is ongoing, and additional charges are possible.

Clark’s bond was set at $50,000 as of Wednesday night.
