The certification was offered by the Mississippi State Personnel Board.

Dr. Clyde Muse, president of Hinds Community College, addressed the ASCP graduates.

The Certified Public Manager Program combines classroom training and experiential learning to develop leadership and supervisory skills in managers of state agencies. Participants must complete six levels of course work, successfully complete real-world projects, and pass multiple written examinations in order to complete the certification process.
