Two new doctors join local medical practices

NATCHEZ — Two new doctors have recently joined the Natchez Medical Foundation and opened offices in Natchez.

Dr. Ellis Salloum, a vascular surgeon, has joined the Natchez Medical Foundation Surgery Clinic Practice.

Dr. Karl Hubbard, an orthopedic surgeon, has joined Dr. Carl Passman and Dr. Daniel McCallum in their practice, Natchez Medical Foundation Orthopedic Sports and Rehabilitation Practice.

Salloum, a native of Gulfport, has been in private practice in North Kansas City, Mo., at Kansas City Vascular, PC. Prior to that, he was chief of vascular services in Shreveport, La., at the Christus Health Systems Northwest LA.

He will be joining Dr. Hendrik Kuiper in the surgery clinic.

Salloum received his medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine.

His general surgery residency was completed at Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C.

A residency in vascular surgery was completed at the University of Tennessee in Memphis. He is board certified in both general and vascular surgery. Salloum’s professional memberships include the International Society of Endovascular Specialists and the Angiology Society.

“Dr. Salloum is a wonderful addition to our medical staff, and his area of expertise in vascular surgery will enable our citizens to remain in Natchez for their surgical needs relating to vascular conditions,” said Bill Heburn, CEO of Natchez Regional Medical Center.

Salloum and his wife Jenny are looking forward to life in Natchez.

Hubbard, a native of St. Paul, Minn., has been in private practice in North Carolina for the past 16 years.

He received his medical degree from the University of Louisville in Louisville, Ky. His residency in Orthopedic Surgery was completed at Albany Medical Center in Albany, N.Y.

Hubbard’s professional interests include general orthopedics, as well as arthroscopy; pediatric fractures; hands, including fractures and tendon repair; and total joint replacements of the hip and knee. He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery, and his professional memberships include the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons.

“Dr. Hubbard is the newest addition to our medical staff, and his professional interests will enable us to offer a wide continuum of care to patients needing orthopedic services,” Heburn said.

Hubbard and his wife Noemie are excited about the move.
