Isle of Capri reopens after storm damage

NATCHEZ — The Isle of Capri Casino reopened Tuesday night after a severe thunderstorm damaged the casino Friday and forced it shut down.

Isle of Capri Spokeswoman Jill Alexander said the boat was hit with high wind on Friday, causing damage to the entry ramps as well as the backup generator, causing the casino to be closed on Friday evening.

    IOC needs to acquire the Grand Soleil project and construct an over-the-water casino similar to MB.  The decreased operational costs would pay for it in the long run.
