Mr. and Mrs. Howard Christian of Hollandale announce the engagement of their daughter, Jacquelyn Hope Christian to Ruston Chase Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dave Pace of Brookhaven and the late Robert Barr Brown of Natchez.

The bride-to-be is a graduate of Deer Creek School in Arcola and a graduate of Delta State University in Cleveland where she received a bachelor of science in chemistry and the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson where she received a doctor of physical therapy.

She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Diamond of Hollandale, Mrs. Thomas Roy Gammons of Belzoni and the late Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Thomas Christian of Clinton.

The groom-to-be is a graduate of Trinity Episcopal Day School in Natchez and a graduate of Louisiana State University where he received a bachelor of science in biology. He is currently employed by State Farm Insurance Agent-Carl Venable in Madison.

He is the grandson of Mr. Charles Hollingsworth and the late Mrs. Lillian Hollingsworth of Glenmora, La., and Mr. and Mrs. Jack Brown of Natchez.

The wedding will be Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, at Christ United Methodist Church in Jackson.

A reception will follow at The South Warehouse.

Following a wedding trip, the couple will live in Madison.
