NPD investigating grocery store assault

NATCHEZ — Natchez police are investigating a reported aggravated assault at Daisy Street Grocery Friday after a man was reportedly stunned with a Taser and then shot at with a pistol.

According to the police report, the victim was allegedly attacked by two suspects, and then a third suspect stunned him with a Taser. As the victim began to run away, one of the suspects reportedly shot at the victim, and a bullet grazed the victim’s shoulder.

Natchez Detective Jerry Ford said police have suspects but are awaiting witnesses of the assault to positively identify the suspects.
