Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Thomas Edwards  (Mary-Margaret Alwood)Mary-Margaret Alwood of Ferriday and Stephen Thomas Edwards of Natchez, were married Saturday, Aug. 11, 2012, at the New Covenant Presbyterian Church in Natchez with the Rev. Dennis Carl Flach officiating.

Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Richard Calvin Alwood of Ferriday and Mr. and Mrs. Gary Earl Edwards of Natchez.

Music for the ceremony was provided by Paula DeReuil and Burnley Cook.

The bride was given in marriage by her father Richard Calvin Alwood.

She wore a Martina Liana lace A-line gown accented with Parisian silk, highlighting a sweetheart neckline and empire waist. Swarovski crystals embellished the lace. Her veil was a handmade heirloom of Belgium lace purchased in Brussels by the groom’s great-grandmother and also worn by his grandmother and mother.

Shannon Matthews Alwood of Baton Rouge and Heather Dennig Burget of Vidalia were matrons of honor.

The bridesmaid was Alexandra Margarete Roberts of Baton Rouge.

Sela Katherine Alwood and Sarah Elizabeth Alwood, both of Baton Rouge and Adeline Burget of Vidalia were flower girls.

Gary Earl Edwards and Houston Davis Edwards, both of Natchez, were best men.

Groomsmen were Lawrence Richard Alwood of Baton Rouge and Richard Calvin Alwood Jr. of The Woodlands, Texas.

A reception was held at the Vidalia Conference and Convention Center following the ceremony.

After a wedding trip to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the couple will live in Natchez.
