NPD looking for teenage suspect

NATCHEZ — Police are searching for a teenager who reportedly robbed a North Pearl Street resident at gunpoint Sept 22.

Natchez Detective Jerry Ford said the resident reportedly went to his rental property in the area of 700 N. Pearl St. and was approached by what the resident described as a 17-19-year-old male wearing a white shirt and khakis.

The teenager reportedly pointed a gun at the resident, demanded money and threatened to shoot him, Ford said.

The resident, Ford said, reportedly told the teenager he did not have any money, and the teenager fled.

The responding officer listed the offense as a simple assault by fear on the original police report, but Ford said the offense has been changed to an attempted robbery.

Ford said the police department does not have any suspects in the case, but he said he suspects the robber is a local high school student.

Anyone with any information about the robbery should call NPD at 601-445-5565 or Crime Stoppers at 601-442-5000.

Crime Stoppers offers a reward up to $1,000 for the arrest and conviction of a suspect because of a tip. Callers can remain anonymous.

Thats a very vague description that will get you nowhere. What color was he?? What was his hair like? Any identifying marks or traits? How tall was he? Where did he come from/where did he go?
Start there and you might get this victim some help.

White shirt and khakis…17-19 years old…what time of the day was it, because it sounds like it could be someone from Natchez High. Walking home from school, perhaps, and saw an easy target. Folks, don’t make yourselves an easy target for a kid that was probably dared to do this. He needs to be found, thrown in jail, and Mama/Daddy/Grandma/whoever take responsibility for his actions.

When political correctness is more important than catching armed criminals, we as society have a serious problem.

I’m talking about you, Natchez Democrat. Why even print the story?

    Tomorrow’s headline: “Somebody Did Something”

“Some time the other day, somebody did something somewhere. Someone else reported that the someone in question broke some law. The suspect was described as some kind of human or something.”

Your 5th word in your post explains it all – the cops don’t want to touch him! Whatever happened to censoring? LOL
