NATCHEZ — Services for Patricia Ann January Childress, 56, of Las Vegas, who died Thursday, Sept. 21, 2012, at her residence, will be at 2 p.m. today at Pilgrim Baptist Church with the Rev. Queen Jackson officiating.

Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Bateaste Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the church.

Mrs. Childress was born March 6, 1956, in Natchez, the daughter of Gertrude January Gilchrist. She was employed by Clark County School District in Las Vegas for 32 years. She was retired.

Mrs. Childress was preceded in death by her mother and one brother, James “Happy” Gilchrist.

Survivors include seven sisters, Eula Minor, Josie Gilchrist Camper, Leanna Ball, Irma “Queen” Jackson, Penny January, Clentine January and Bridgette January Gilchrist; two brothers, Alfred Gilchrist and Calvin January; a special niece, Euliss “Lisa” January; two godsons, Chase and Chance Pleasant; and a number of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
