Auxiliary prayer breakfast Saturday

The women’s Auxiliary of the Antioch Missionary Association of Adams County will host the 10th annual prayer breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Pilgrim Baptist Church fellowship Hall, 117 Pilgrim Blvd.

The spirit-filled breakfast honors the memory of a past president of the organization whose theme was, “I do not know how long twill be or what the future holds for me. But this I know, If Jesus leads me, I shall get home someday.”

The meditation period will be offered by Pastor Tracy Cusic with greetings by the first assistant director of the women’s Auxiliary of Adams County, Mrs. Bobby Johnson.

After breakfast is served, Mrs. Evelyn Brooks will introduce the speaker who is her spouse, Pastor James Brooks, treasurer of the AMB Association and pastor of Mount Sinai Baptist Church of Sibley. Mr. Willie Minor of Antioch Baptist Church will provide a solo.

Presentations and observations will be given by Mrs. Patricia Marvel, St. Peter Missionary Baptist Church and Mrs. Thelma Latham, Milford Baptist Church and executive director of the Women’s Auxiliary respectively.

After the congregational hymn, the event will conclude with benediction by host Pastor Melvin White, vice president of the AMB Association of Adams County.

Special appreciation to the E.L. Porter Prayer Breakfast committee: Mrs. Ernestine Stanton, director and member of Mount Zion Baptist Church; Mrs. Audrey Henry, co-director, Milford Baptist Church; Mrs. Katie Anderson, Zion Watch Baptist Church; Mrs. Louise Dennis and Mrs. Evelyn Fort, Union Baptist Church; Mrs. Janie Hoggatt, Greater St. Mark Baptist Church; Mrs. Eddie Mae Stewart, Mount Olive Baptist Church; and Mrs. Ruby West, Rose Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
