JONESVILLE — Services for Barbara Nell Kirby, 72, of Ferriday, who died Thursday, Oct. 25, 2012, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Young’s Funeral Home in Jonesville with James King and the Rev. Randy Williams officiating.

Burial will follow at Heard Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Kirby was born Aug. 5, 1940, in Manifest, La., the daughter of Jack and Nancy Estis. She was a seamstress and a member of Hill Memorial Baptist Church in Ferriday.

Mrs. Kirby was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Jackie Estis Sr. and Jarrel Wayne Estis; and one grandson, Nichlous “Nick” Kirby.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, James M. Kirby IV; one daughter, Cindy Crawford and husband, Junior, of Harrisonburg, La.; two sons, James M. “Buddy” Kirby V of Monterey and Anthony Wade Kirby and wife, Debbie, of Ferriday; 10 grandchildren, Ashly McEntyre Wilson, Trey McEntyre, Josie Aplin, Bud Kirby, Taylor Kirby, Maggie Kirby, Sam Kirby, Lizzie Kirby, Alannah Floyd and Victoria Kirby; and seven great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Luke Wilson, Blair Wilson, Paul Kimball, Blain Floyd, Wesley Douglas and R.D. Rushing.
