FERRIDAY — Services for Stella Turner, 78, of Leesville, La., formerly of Ferriday, who died Saturday , Oct. 20, 2012, at Byrd Regional Hospital in Leesville, will be at noon Saturday at New Morning Star Baptist Church in Ferriday.

Burial will follow at St. James Church Cemetery in Frogmore under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Ms. Turner was born July 10, 1934, in Frogmore, the daughter of John and Minnie Jackson Turner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Irvin Edward Lee; and one daughter, Barbara Jean Buford.

Survivors include one son, Clennon Turner and wife, Glenda, of Leesville; one brother, Johnnie Turner of Ferriday; two nieces, Audrey Promise of Ferriday and Rosa Lee Smith of Olive Branch; and nine grandchildren.
