Teenager shot 3 times Thursday night

NATCHEZ — A teenager who was shot three times in the lot at the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. and Minor streets Thursday night refused to tell police who shot him.

Detective Jerry Ford said John Joseph Evans, 19, was shot in the left leg, left upper abdomen and left lower abdomen. Evans was in stable condition at Natchez Regional Medical Center, Ford said, as of press time.

Evans refused to identify his shooter or provide a motive for the shooting, Ford said.
