No voter ID needed at polls today

Voter identification is a hot potato in today’s world in voter registration, absentee balloting and in some cases asking for ID before you vote!

There was a time we African-Americans could not vote. Now that we can, some people are trying to disenfranchise us and turn us back.

I’ve made up my mind that I ain’t never going back.

The Holy Bible is a good guide for all people. Proverbs 16:22A says: “Understanding is a wellspring of life to him who has it.”

Some folks will say understanding is the greatest thing in the world, so it is very precious.

Now don’t be fooled by some things you read in the newspaper, hear on television or through the grapevine or any other vine.

You do not need to present your ID to vote today.

As first vice president of the Natchez NAACP branch, I declare to all who read this article, run and tell it everywhere you go. No ID to vote!

Don’t be a joker and hang loose. Be a voter and help spread the truth.
