MONTEREY — Services for Myrtle “Willidene” Paul, 82 of Monterey, who died Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at Columns Nursing Home in Jonesville, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, 2012, at New Era Baptist Church with the Revs. Dennis Baker and Mickey Bounds officiating.

Burial will follow in New Era Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. today.

Mrs. Paul was born on Nov. 18, 1929, in Acme, the daughter of Hobert Hayes Morace and Myrtle Olivia Morace.

Mrs. Paul was a resident of Monterey, a home maker and a lifelong member of New Era Baptist Church.  She was active in the Women’s Missionary Union, a member of the Black River Garden Club and past president of the Monterey PTA.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Vala Mae Paul.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, James Clay Paul of Monterey; sons Don Paul of Portsmouth, R.I., Marcus Paul and his wife, Sue, of Monterey; daughters Teresa Williams and her husband, Neil, of Menlo Park, Calif., Olivia Duplessis and her husband, Bobby, of Mandeville, Barbara DePrato and her husband, Jay, of Lake St. John, Evette Cross and her husband, Steve, of Monterey, and Sarah Mills and her husband, Chris of Perth, Australia; sister Hazel Morace Little and her husband, Wally, of Monterey; 18 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Pallbearers will be Brent Burley, Blake Burley, Clay Owens, Paul Mathis, Bubba Cross and Chris Crowell.
