Adams County Justice Court Cases

Week of Nov. 2-8:

Curtis Hoye pleaded guilty to simple assault.

Jean L. O’Quin charged with prescription forgery. Case bound over to a grand jury.

Marvin J. McCraney pleaded guilty to trespass less than larceny.

Dexter L. Franklin pleaded guilty to simple assault.

Mark H. Nichols pleaded guilty to willful trespassing.

Erik T. Reed pleaded guilty to simple possession of marijuana.

Lakeshia Walker charged with two counts of sale of a controlled substance. Case bound over to a grand jury.

Emily Walker charged with two counts of sale of a controlled substance. Case bound over to a grand jury.

Natchez Municipal Court Cases

Friday, Oct. 26:

Jessica Denise Brown, 32, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 24 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve six days in jail. Banned from Southside Market. Fine set at $444.

Kelvin T. Thompson, 39, pleaded guilty to shoplifting – 1st offense. Sentenced to 30 days with 24 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. To serve six days in jail. Banned from Southside Market. Fine set at $444.

William Mestayer, 27, found guilty of public drunkenness. Sentenced to 10 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $339.

Joseph Burley, 20, pleaded guilty to public drunkenness. Sentenced to 10 days suspended for one year pending good behavior. Fine set at $294.

Monday, Oct. 29:

Crystal Ladonna Jones, 26, charged with simple assault — domestic violence. Case dismissed — officer failed to appear and victim not located.

Cody Davis Strickland, 20, charged with shoplifting — 1st offense. Case dismissed — complainant unable to be located. Cash bond to be refunded. Banned from Fred’s.

Sahne Tompkins Gray, 31, charged with failure to maintain insurance proof in vehicle. Case dismissed — had proof. Gray pleaded guilty to DUI — other substance. Sentenced to 48 hours suspended. Fine set at $720.

Victor Martinez, 47, charged with DUI — 1st offense test refusal. Trial reset for Dec. 3. Case bond set at $1,887. Martinez was also charged with no driver’s license. Case dismissed. Martinez was also charged with careless driving. Case dismissed. Martinez was also charged with failure to maintain insurance proof in vehicle. Case dismissed.
