To the Natchez community,

American Veterans Traveling Tribute had the opportunity to bring the Cost of Freedom Tribute to the Natchez Convention Center for the week prior to and weekend of Veterans Day. We’d like to take the opportunity to thank all of those involved with this event and the community for being so welcoming.

A big thank you to our sponsors and event hosts — Point Man International Ministries in conjunction with the Natchez Area Community Alliance Foundation, the Natchez American Legion and the Natchez Veterans of Foreign Wars Posts!

We’d also like to extend a special thank you to Doug McCallister and Mark LaFrancis for serving as primary planning contacts and coordinating the various elements of the event.

Their hard work and dedication to this event were evident and we are so appreciative.

The event kicked off Wednesday with a wonderful and unique escort into town! Thank you to Major Charles Harrigill with the Adams County Sheriff’s Office for coordinating this ride and a big thank you to all riders and local law enforcement agencies involved! What a welcome into town!

We’d like to thank the Natchez Convention Center for providing a wonderful venue for the event.

To the setup/tear down crews, the locator volunteers, the security volunteers and the numerous other on-site volunteers — thank you! Without volunteers, these events are not possible!

The agenda for the event was well planned and well executed as well.

Thank you to all ceremony participants and to the local schools that came out to the Convention Center throughout the time the Cost of Freedom Tribute was on display.

This was a wonderful experience for all, and we are so appreciative to everyone involved.

Thank you for welcoming us into your community and thank you for taking the time to honor our active duty, veteran and fallen heroes.

We very much look forward to coming back to Natchez in the future.
