NATCHEZ — Services for Ruby Lee Singleton Higdon, 73, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, at her residence, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Greater St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Maurice Irving officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Webb Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Higdon was born Aug. 16, 1939, in Natchez, the daughter of Clarice Johnson and Jessie Singleton. She was employed by the Armstrong family. She was retired.

Mrs. Higdon was Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnny Higdon; one great-grandson, Hollis Ray Caston IV; one sister, Eloise Turner; and one brother, Charlis McCovins.

Survivors include one daughter, Renee Strickland and husband, Isaac; three sons, Samuel Singleton and wife, Angela, Larry Singleton and wife, Rhonda, and James Singleton and wife, Vonda; 16 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Maurice Jackson, Elijah Hall, Wallace McDuffie, Marcus Jenkins, Isaac Williams and John Johnson Jr.
