NATCHEZ — Services for Margie E. Searcy, 85, of Natchez, who died Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Natchez Community Hospital surrounded by her loving family, will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Russell Wagoner officiating.

Burial will follow in the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Searcy was born Dec. 12, 1926, in Enterprise, La., the daughter of Ernest Clayton Smith and Eva McVey Smith. She moved to Natchez after her high school graduation at Enterprise, and worked in numerous hospital and medical facilities as a nursing assistant. Mrs. Searcy retired from what is now Natchez Regional Medical Center. She was a very loving and caring mother, grandmother and friend. She will be missed greatly by all who loved her.

Mrs. Searcy was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, Evelyn Hines, Viola Parker and Gracie Rayborn.

Survivors include two sons, Charles Perry and wife, Linda, of Ferriday and Clayton Perry and wife, Sue Ann, of Sicily Island; three daughters, Elaine Bailey and husband, David Sr., of McComb, Myrtle Baxter and husband, William, of Natchez and Sheryl Busby and husband, Buck, of Marlow, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Paul Tullos, David Bailey Jr., Rikki Faulkenberry, Brian Baxter, Blaine Roberts and Brice Roberts.
