NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Betty Jean Ladner, 85, of Natchez, who died Thursday, Nov. 22, 2012, will be 11 a.m. Monday at Westminster Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Richard Wood officiating.

Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery in Meadville under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. Monday until time of services at the church.

Betty Jean Ladner was born Feb. 19, 1927 in Meadville, the daughter of Archibald Monroe Newman and Katherine Lambuth Newman. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, D.L. Ladner Jr.

Survivors include one son, Philip Newman Ladner and wife, Connie, of Cleveland, Miss.; one daughter, Kathie Swofford and husband, Kearby Jr., of Natchez; one granddaughter, Rachel Ladner and one grandson, Dean Ladner and wife, Blair.

Pallbearers will be Dr. Mickey Paul Wallace, John Payne Ratcliff II, Edward Blanchard Edwards, Gary Earl Edwards, Travis E. Parker Jr. and Melvin Lynn Jones.

Memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 33 Fatherland Road, Natchez, MS 39120 and the Natchez-Adams County Humane Society, 392 Liberty Road, Natchez, MS 39120.
