Melanie Netterville and Mallory Lansing each finished with 10 points for Tensas Academy, which struggled to put Franklin Academy away until well into the third quarter. The Lady Chiefs led by 14 at the end of that quarter and then outscored the Lady Cougars 18-6 in the fourth quarter.

Tensas Academy (4-3) next plays at Briarfield Academy Thursday night.

Talk about a strange first half to this game. The Franklin Academy Cougars scored 40 points in the first quarter en route to a 40-2 lead. Strangely enough, that was the score at halftime after neither the Cougars nor the Tensas Academy Chiefs scored a single point in the second quarter.

But the huge first quarter was more than enough for the Cougars to emerge with an easy win Tuesday night.

Jack Hart led the Chiefs in scoring with five points. Seth Brown and Chase Sanders each had two points and Peyton Jones had one point. Tensas Academy (0-3) plays at Briarfield Academy Thursday night.
