CLAYTON — Services for Ruth Edna “Granny” Ensley, 96, of Clayton, who died Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, in Clayton, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Clayton Baptist Church with the Rev. Leslie Wooten officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Ensley was born Oct. 20, 1916, in Cullowhee, N.C., the daughter of William Amberson Deitz and Melvina Stiles Deitz. Before retiring, she was a sorter for Champion Paper.

Mrs. Ensley was a member of Clayton Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland E. Ensley; her parents; one son, John Eugene Ensley; one daughter, Barbara Jean Ensley; two brothers, Wilburn Deitz and Roy Deitz; and five sisters, Delphia Potts, Ethel Deitz, Louetta Deitz, Victoria Deitz and Lena Frizzell.

Survivors include one daughter, Brenda Denny and husband, William, of Clayton; one son, George Ensley and Dianne Dotson of Mountain City, Ga.; four grandsons, David Parris, John Parris, Ricky Ensley and Billy Tyler; three granddaughters, Dorothy Denny, Billie Jo Seals and Sarah Service; 11 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Lamar Ashley, Michael Seals, Darrell Cirilo, Curtis Cirlio, Bryon Cirilo and Richard Wilkerson.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Huey Moak, Dylan Seals and Anthony Cirilo.
