NATCHEZ — Services for Annie May Lewis, 89, of Natchez, who went peacefully to be with the Lord and Savior Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Assumption Catholic Church with the Rev. David O’Connor officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

A Rosary service will be at 9:30 a.m. and visitation will be from 10 a.m. until service time Wednesday, both at the church.

Mrs. Lewis was born Aug. 19, 1923, in Natchez, the daughter of Sam May and Emma Ballarini May. She was a radiant Christian and a loving example to her family and church. She was a member of Assumption Catholic Church and the Ladies Altar Society. The family cherishes the memories of her faithful love for all, which was rooted in Jesus’ faithful love for her.

Mrs. Lewis was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Prentiss Lewis; three brothers, Salvatore, Louis and Julius May; one sister, Mary May Verucchi Dukes; one niece, Mary Sandra May; two nephews, Thomas Michael May and David May; and one great-nephew, Julian Christopher Jacks.

Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be David Williams, Justin May, Brandon Perkins, Payden Pressgrove, Robert Lewis, Michael Lewis and Tommy Lewis.

The family extends a special thanks to her caregivers.

Memorials may be made to Assumption Catholic Church, the Natchez-Adams County Humane Society or to a charity of choice.
