MEADVILLE – Services for Walter L. Costley, 96, of Meadville, who died Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at his residence, will be at 2 p.m. today at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadville.

Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery in Meadville under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time today at the funeral home.

Mr. Costley was born Sept. 11, 1916, in Meadville, the son of Dr. Linfield and Sallie Mullins Costley. He was retired from the U.S. Army and Armstrong Tire and Rubber Company of Natchez. He was Presbyterian and a member of Meadville Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Costley was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Tressa Morris Costley; one niece, Lynn M. Hinkle; one brother; four sisters; and one brother-in-law.

Survivors include three nephews, Wiley Louis Wentworth of McCall Creek, Lynn Charles Wentworth of Madison and Dr. Dale Morris and wife, Jeannie of LaPlace, La.; four nieces, Sara Wentworth Thimscinn and husband, Jerry, of Washington, D.C., Nanette Bates McGehee and husband, Tom, of Natchez, Charlyne Costley of Meadville and Barbara L. Morris; one sister-in-law, Irene Morris of Columbia; a number of great-nieces and great-nephews; and very special friends, Pam and Tim Buckley and Faye Shaw.
