NATCHEZ — Funeral services for Glenn Ray Watkins, 76, of Natchez, who died Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at Promise Rehabilitation Hospital in Vidalia, will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Laird Funeral Home Chapel with Myrtis Dantzler and the Rev. Jerome “J.J.” Borun officiating.

Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and noon Tuesday until time of services at the funeral home.

Mr. Watkins was born Aug. 22, 1936, in Harrisonburg, the son of Henry Watkins and Bertha Scruggs Watkins. He was a member of River City Pentecostal Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Sherman Watkins; two sisters, Doris Watkins and Shirley Seal; and a great-granddaughter, Gracey Claire Rushing.

Survivors include his wife, Alice Watkins; two sons, Kenny Rushing Sr. and wife, Cindy, of Lafayette and Gus Perry and wife, Dawn, of Natchez; four grandsons, Kenny Rushing Jr. and wife, Eva, of Houston, Shane Rushing and wife, Krystal, of Lafayette, Eric Perry and wife, Colbey, and Christopher Perry, all of Natchez; two great-granddaughters, Emma Grace Rushing of Lafayette and Karli Grace Rushing of Houston; one brother, Gene Watkins and wife, Lillian, of Tallulah; three sisters, Leda Moore of Natchez, Marie Brown of Ferriday and Elvia Faulkner of Florida.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Rushing Jr., Shane Rushing, Eric Perry, Chrisopher Perry, Tim Jackson and Rusty Anders.
