NATCHEZ — Police are investigating what they suspect as a gun sale gone wrong that has left one man in critical condition at a Baton Rouge hospital.

Natchez Detective Jerry Ford said David Anderson was reportedly attempting to sell a gun to an individual in a truck on West Stiers Lane Saturday when the driver of the truck tried to drive off with the gun.

Anderson held onto the door of the truck, Ford said, in an effort to get his gun back and was dragged from 500 W. Stiers Lane to 513 W. Stiers Lane where he fell off the truck.
