VIDALIA — A roadblock on Carter Street in Vidalia raised $5,218.50 for Feed the Hungry Friday.

Linda Bonnette, the director of the food bank, said the money is much appreciated and will be put to good use.

Feed the Hungry distributes canned goods, non-perishables and other items to need families in the area once a week. The non-profit is based at Vidalia First Assembly of God.
