Police searching for robbery suspect in Roxie

ROXIE — Franklin County police are searching for a suspect who reportedly robbed the P&W Truckstop in Roxie Saturday night.

The truck stop’s owner, Greg Waldrop, said a masked man wearing a hooded sweatshirt came in the truck stop at approximately 7:55 p.m., pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded she open the cash register.

The clerk opened the register, Waldrop said, and the robber reportedly took $325 and fled on foot headed north on Mississippi 33.

Franklin County Sheriff James Newman said his office is reviewing video surveillance of the robbery and attempting to develop more information.

    “fled on foot headed north on Mississippi 33″ towards Fayette. This is the same place where patel, singh, gupta was arrested for price gouging a few months ago.
