FROGMORE — Services for Beulah Schiele, 88, of Ferriday, who died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2012, at Riverland Medical Center in Ferriday, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. James Baptist Church in Frogmore with the Rev. James Devine officiating.

Burial will follow at the church cemetery under the direction of Concordia Funeral Home in Ferriday.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mrs. Schiele was born Feb. 18, 1924, in Frogmore, the daughter of Henry and Stella Watkins Scott. She was a retired dietitian for Riverland Medical Center.

Mrs. Schiele was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Benjamin Schiele; one son, Benjamin Schiele Jr.; two sisters, Mary Williams and Stella Scott; two brothers, Emanuel and Noah Scott; and one grandson, Patrick Schiele.

Survivors include one son, Frederick Schiele Sr. of Ferriday; two brothers, Henry Scott Jr. and wife, Dionne, of New Orleans and Joseph Scott of Ferriday; four sisters, Mable McKinney of Chicago, Hattie Johnson of Hammond, Ind., Lillian Scott and Lillie Green, both of Ferriday; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two godchildren; and two brothers-in-law, the Rev. Freddie Schiele and Roosevelt Schiele and wife, Alberta, all of Ferriday.
