SICILY ISLAND, La. — After being outscored by Harrisonburg a combined 25-14 over a two-quarter stretch, any thoughts of Vidalia picking up its second win of the season looked quite gloomy at the end of the third quarter.

But then the Lady Vikings turned up the defensive pressure in the fourth quarter, forcing the Lady Bulldogs into several turnovers that translated into easy baskets. When the game was over, Vidalia came back to take a thrilling 37-35 win over Harrisonburg Friday afternoon at the Sicily Island Tournament.

Vidalia ended up outscoring Harrisonburg 15-4 in the final eight minutes of the game to erase a 31-22 deficit. Fran Duson led the Lady Vikings with 12 points while Taylor Tennessee had eight points and Shermel Bell finished with seven points.
