MEADVILLE — Services for Verna Ruth McDonough, 73, of Natchez, who died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Meadville.

Burial will follow at Midway Cemetery under the direction of Franklin Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mrs. McDonough was born Feb. 16, 1939, in Bude, the daughter of Hubert Lee Cotten and Beatrice Murray Montgomery. She was Baptist.

Mrs. McDonough worked for a number of years for J.C. Penney and Sears. She was retired.

Mrs. McDonough was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Joel Cotten and Garvis Cotten; and one nephew, Joey Cotten.

Survivors include one daughter, Tracy Powell of Natchez and special caregivers, Robert C. Dossett and Babs Knotts.
