NATCHEZ — Services for Carlotta Hess Breithaupt, 87, of Natchez, who died Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, at her residence, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Basilica with the Rev. David O’Connor and the Rev. Charles Bucciantini officiating.

Burial will follow at the Natchez City Cemetery under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home and from 9 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church.

Mrs. Breithaupt was born June 16, 1925, in Natchez, the daughter of Charles Hess and Mamie Burke Hess. She married Harry Maxwell Breithaupt Aug. 10, 1945. She was formerly employed by Britton and Koontz Bank, Danny O’Beirne law office, Cathedral School and St. Mary Basilica.

Mrs. Breithaupt was preceded in death by her parents; one son, John Maxwell Breithaupt Sr.; five brothers; and two sisters.

Survivors include her husband of 67 years, Harry Maxwell “Max” Breithaupt; three nephews, the Rev. Charles Bucciantini, Michael Bucciantini and wife, Kay, and Chris Bucciantini and wife, Debra; two nieces, Margaret Pool and husband, Jack, and Molly Andregg and husband, Ralph; three grandchildren, Jennifer Sue Breithaupt, Theresa Ann Johnson and John Maxwell Breithaupt Jr.; and four great-grandchildren, William Cody Davis, Sarah Breithaupt, William Lee Johnson and Katie Lynn Johnson.

Pallbearers will be Michael Bucciantini, John Breithaupt Jr., William Cody Davis, Chris Bucciantini, Charles Bucciantini and Marsalin Archer.
