NATCHEZ — Memorial services for Geraldine M. Bender, 87, of Fayette, who died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at Natchez Community Hospital, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Stanton Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Purvis officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Laird Funeral Home.

Mrs. Bender was born Nov. 3, 1925, in Elkhart, Ind., the daughter of Ellis and Lela Tyree Belt. She was a member of Stanton Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, the Rev. Richard L. Bender; and one brother, Marvin Belt.

Survivors include one daughter, Priscilla Massie and husband, Mark, of Fayette; one son, Wayne Bender of Fayette; two sisters, June Goodman of Elkhart and Marilyn Goode and husband, Bradley, of Salem, Ill.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
